About This Stone
Every PureGem® emerald shares the same chemical composition, crystal structure, and optical properties as a mined emerald — the only difference is how it was created. Grown in a controlled laboratory environment, each stone tests positive as genuine emerald on all standard gemological instruments and meets the same quality criteria as the world’s finest natural emeralds.
Colour
Available in two versions — Colombian Light Green, a vivid and bright tone favoured for its clarity of colour, and Zambian Dark Green, a deeper and more saturated hue prized for its intensity. Both are consistent, vibrant, and free of the colour variation that makes high-quality natural emeralds so rare.
Clarity
VVS to FL. Natural emeralds at this clarity grade are extraordinarily rare and command some of the highest prices in the coloured stone market. Every PureGem® emerald is held to this standard as a baseline.
Hardness
